Where else do you get the most delicious, smooth, delightful Italian espresso in a small Italian mug? Yes, in Italy:) I have been living in USA for 16 years but this is the very first time I enjoyed an authentic Italian coffee, and pastry as well! As a family business, this lovely family pays attention to every detail starting from an excellent costumer service to a mug you receive your coffee in I love the authentic feel of Italy in every bite of their food they make from scratch and import it directly from Italy. You can kind of sense I fell in love with this Italian Amore piece of Benicia

This was our first time coming in for breakfast and it was wonderful! Service was wonderful, atmosphere was cute and relaxing, and the food was very tasty.

Freshest, crunchiest salad on earth was perfectly dresses with light dressing and salt. Espresso was perfect. Quiche was so good I went back for lunch (seafood bisque w large pieces of shrimp). High quality ingredients all around. Great café to work on your laptop. Lady behind the counter (manager? owner?) is welcoming and attentive. She played cool music too, made me want to stay all day long. I'll be back!

Not quite a trip to Italy, but loved the reminders of our trip with the amazing food, atmosphere, and accents. Order from one area and go around to a beautiful courtyard with colorful outdoor seating to dine 'in' or take to go. We ordered croissant sandwich and lasagna and LOVED both the selections. Walk the short walk off the main street and you won't be disappointed.

Charming place! When you're in Benicia please have a meal at this establishment. Talk to Paula at the desk and she'll tell you the history of this quaint Inn. It is a lovely venue for all types of parties. They have 7 rooms for overnight stays and is a short walk to the water. Thank you Paula for the chat and history of this lovely Inn.

Took my family here out for lunch and everyone loved every single item on the menu. Their coffee is super nice and smooth. Our kids love Bomboletti alla Nutella and Bomboletti con Crema.

We showed up Sunday morning with a group of six adults and one baby. We tried a variety of the amazing offerings, three had the steak and eggs special of the day, and the other three adults had the breakfast plate, one had the classic omelette, and one had the breakfast sandwich. All six of us cleaned our plates and loved the food. As is often the case, the steak wasn't exactly steakhouse quality, but it was perfectly cooked and tasty if not particularly tender. One of us even took a quiche to go because she loved the food and wanted to try the quiche, but simply didn't have enough room after her breakfast. The coffee was great and the bottled coke was also a nice surprise. The atmosphere was very charming and, dare I say, European cafe reminiscent. We ate inside, in the front room, at the large table that fit our entire party comfortably. The table itself was a bit wobbly, but that could be easily remedied by a competent handyman. That front room was a little bit stuffy by the end of our meal, but there is also an area near the cash register and bakery case, and a huge outdoor patio as alternate options. Lastly, both the owner/chef and manager were very friendly and accommodating.

Did you all know the cafe is open for dinner Thurs, Friday and Saturday?! This is my husband and my go-to spot for a sit-down dinner or lunch in Benicia. We're so happy to have a restaurant that uses fresh farm-to-table ingredients in town. The burger is one of the best I've had, the salmon is always cooked to perfection, the BLT is delicious and their produce is always so fresh. They serve a new special each week, which is always fantastic and seasonal. Service is friendly and great and you can't beat the ambiance of the outdoor patio. Dinner is normally pretty quiet so please try it out and give this local biz some love!
